As an adolescent who is Autistic, I am rather detail-oriented. When younger, I was ostracised for my quiet demeanour and introversion. Throughout my life, rather than using words, I express myself using visual means instead, such as art.
This artwork is a visualised version of my emotions hiding behind my mask as an Autistic person. Due to the stigma around Autism, a large number of Autistic people hide their true selves in order to avoid being ridiculed.
