The Artist

I grew up in Melbourne and as a kid, I knew I had something inside of me that needed to be unleashed. I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when I was two and Dystonia when I was nine. I have trouble painting sometimes, but that doesn't stop me from doing what I love! I like painting but especially painting with watercolour and found my passion for it during high school. In my spare time I love to read, paint, and draw, and you can often find me curled up sketching my dogs, or any other thing you can think of. I'm now in my early 20's and ready to show the world what I'm made of!

Artist Statement

In my painting, 'My view on Climate Change', painted in acrylic on canvas, is a testament to what many students and the youth of Australia feel about Climate Change. I wanted my painting to describe the frustration and the plight of many young aussies who care about the planet but are ignored by the 'higher officials'. When thinking about Climate Change, I wished the painting to ask viewers why or how can we as a collective society can make a difference in the world and be leaders for change, instead of letting time pass us by. My piece is a call to action, a call for the younger generations to be leaders for a better future.
