I was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis in 2017, after 20 years of misdiagnosis. Due to being immunosuppressed I don’t leave my house a great deal and have a huge amount of free time. I started crocheting around 15 months ago to help me manage my pain and to also help keep my dexterity in my hands.
Crochet gives me the opportunity to forget about my pain caused by primary progressive multiple sclerosis.
Counting stitches keeps my pain at bay whilst I am able to use my hands and keep some dexterity. I have always been a very artistic person, and wanted a way I could express myself and keep my mind busy.
