Artist Statement

As a textile/mixed media artist, Jennifer likes to pursue her own style, building on what she has learned and gathered, interpreting ideas from a feeling or spark of inspiration.

The physicality of working with fibre, cloth and threads for their suppleness, delicacy and strength, is an essential component in helping Jennifer to create her work

She creates with a desire to explore and satisfy my artistic needs.

Jennifer’s current work, which is based heavily on stitch.  It is a mix of contemporary and traditional stitching using some unconventional materials or already acquired threads, fabrics cast-offs and found objects to create a piece of art.
