My name is Jessi. I am 21 years old, in university, and from Melbourne. I have limited movement in my body, but for me art is so worth it! I really like to draw with charcoal pencils and to do painting as well. I find art so nice and such a good distraction from everything else happening, although can still get irritated when my disability stops my art. I do often find it funny finding paint in my hair, or charcoal fingerprints on my face though!
I drew this picture of my dog Zach as I love him so much. I hang it in my room in front of my bed where he can watch over me when he is in his own bed, or on a walk, or otherwise I can't be with him. I am so glad I have this picture in front of my bed watching over me; he makes me feel better about everything. He has been amazing for me since getting him in Year 12 and starting my first uni course, through to getting sick. He has learnt to cope and handle my illness really well and I can't say just how much I love this little boy. The smile in this picture just shows how cheerful he always is, and the energy he constantly displays, as well as the amount of love that he gives.
